Common Questions

How do I arrange care with Britz Healthcare?

Start by calling us on 01302 870 161 or requesting a free care assessment through the website. We will arrange a visit to understand needs and routines, then agree a personalised care plan before any care begins.

Do you carry out an assessment before care starts?

Yes. We offer a free in-home assessment, which includes a home safety and risk assessment, so we fully understand the person's needs and the home environment before agreeing a care plan.

Can I choose the times of my care visits?

Care is arranged around the person's routine and preferences. We will discuss suitable visit times during your assessment and agree a plan that works for you.

Will I have the same care assistant each time?

We aim to provide consistent, familiar care assistants wherever possible, so a trusting relationship can build. If a regular carer is unavailable, we will try to send someone who already knows the care plan.

Can my family meet the care team?

Yes. We encourage open communication and are happy for families to be involved. Keeping families informed and reassured is an important part of how we work.

Is Britz Healthcare registered with the Care Quality Commission?

Yes. Britz Healthcare is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care in England. You can view our registration on the CQC website.

How is safeguarding handled?

Safeguarding the people we support is central to our work. Our care assistants are recruited carefully and trained to recognise and report any concerns, following clear safeguarding procedures.

Can care be changed, increased or stopped?

Yes. Care plans are reviewed regularly and can be adjusted as needs change. Please talk to us at any time and we will work with you to update the support in place.

Do you support medication?

Where it forms part of an agreed care plan, our care assistants can provide prompts and support with medication routines. We will discuss exactly what is appropriate during your assessment.

What should I do in an emergency?

For urgent or emergency medical help, always call 999. For non-urgent care queries, call us on 01302 870 161 and we will help however we can.
